The Life of an Outspoken Wife
In July 2010, my husband and I were married in the great state of Maine. Our wedding was a project of love and patience over the 2.25-year engagement, and we are so excited to start our marriage together in our new apartment in a new town with new jobs. We have been together for nearly nine years and have learned a lot about ourselves and each other in that time. This is a place where I can entertain, question, and share those lessons. Anything but simple, my ideas about life don’t fit into that 1950′s housewife ideal.
Outside of our home, I am an English teacher at a local high school, teaching tenth and twelfth grade English and ninth grade Literacy. I love my work and find something inspirational in my students’ outlooks on life. Everyone should have something to do with the up and coming generations. They teach me as much as I teach them.
As a person, my interests revolve around cooking and baking (mostly without the recipe, much to my husband’s mental dismay), photography (check out my photography blog), wedding planning, reading Young Adult Literature, travel, a good debate, field hockey, and coaching. I also have a soft spot for DIY projects, like our new dining room table that we completely refinished!
